These ruins are known to be the only ones located in front of the crystalline waters of the Caribbean Sea. During the ancient times Tulum was an important port, used by the extensive commercial network of the Mayas, since the commercial maritime and terrestrial routes converge here. A certified guide will accompany us on the archaeological tour. We will enjoy free time to take some photos.Arrival to Cenote Caracol
In Caracol we will swim in the crystal clear waters of a cenote. After this activity, we will be able to taste a typical Mayan food and watch its elaboration in the traditional way, under the earth.Visit of the cave
After the meal you can visit and roam a cave with incredible formations of stalactites and stalagmites, in addition to a tour of the jungle accompanied by our guides, who will explain the flora and fauna of the region.
9:00 am roughly - Arrival in Tulum Bay
11:00 am - Arrival to the archaeological zone of Tulum
13:00 pm - Arrival to Cenote Caracol
15:00 pm - Visit to the cave
16:30 pm - Back in the van to return to your hotel

About Tulum, Turtles & Cenotes Discovery
Tulum is the only Mayan archaeological site to be found in front of the crystalline waters of the Caribbean Sea. The original name of Tulum was Zamá, which in ancient Mayan language means "dawn". Tulum was an important walled city which in ancient times was used as a port for an extensive commercial network, since the terrestrial and maritime routes of the Maya converge here.
